Tenancy Skills
Schools
It is vital for school leavers to build a positive rental history (just like a work history). Both positive and negative tenancies have lasting impacts on young adults. Poor or unsuccessful tenancies are a major contributor to homelessness and impacts people’s future housing options and pathways in life. Giving young people the skills to be successful in tenancies will positively impact many other areas of their lives, including employment prospects and financial stability.
We aim to prepare school leavers and first time renters with the knowledge, skills and insights to become successful tenants and build positive tenancy histories from the start.
